Encourage your colleagues to Join!!!

Dues are pro-rated beginning November 1! Since September we've added 22 new members, bringing our total membership to 165!  We're very close to reaching a membership goal of 50% this year.  With 7 more members we can reach that goal! 

  • Do you know someone new to the district? 

  • Someone who keeps meaning to join, but needs the extra push to fill out that form? 

  • All you have to do is ask them!

Give them our HelpDesk QR code or link and have them ask for help with joining.  Let them know they might be eligible for Prorated Dues, which started November 1st - all new members are able to join at a lower cost.  With your help, we can reach our goal of 50% membership!

November CVEA Highlights!

This month, our reps and officers have:

 

  • ratified a new salary scale for teachers, paras and SSPs that will go to the voters

  • met with the Superintendent and Asst. Superintendent to discuss issues with payroll

  • met with a staff person who is being treated unfairly

  • representatives attended several administrative meetings to support members

  • started a newsletter to keep members up to date!

Educators give low marks to proposed educational standards changes
Stay in the know! The state of New Hampshire's Board of Education hired former education commissioner and board member, Fred Bramante to revamp the education standards for K-12. There were no teachers in the state that were consulted before the changes were shared through a series of zoom meetings held across the state.
